Privacy

What Boardpath collects, and what it does with it.

Short, because there is not much of it. Boardpath is an advisory practice, not an advertising business, and collects only what it needs in order to reply to you.

Verify

Plain-language framing only. Counsel must confirm what Boardpath actually does with data and which jurisdiction-specific rights apply, including GDPR and US state privacy law. Do not publish this page without that review.

01

What Boardpath collects

What you type into a form: your name, role, organization and email address, and whatever you write about your board.

If you ask for your Board Decision Checkup result to be sent, your answers and the addresses of anyone you asked us to send it to.

Standard website analytics, which tell Boardpath which pages are read and which are not.

02

Why

To reply to you, to send you the thing you asked for, and to understand which pages are useful enough to keep writing.

03

Checkup scores, and what Boardpath does with them

Every completed Board Decision Checkup is stored, including those where nobody gave contact details. What is stored is the six discipline scores, the answers behind them, and the type of organization if you chose to say.

Boardpath uses these in aggregate to understand where boards commonly struggle, and may publish findings drawn from them. Anything published is aggregate only: no board, no organization and no individual is identified, and no result is ever attributed.

Your own result stays at its own link and is not indexed by search engines. Ask and it will be deleted.

04

What Boardpath does not do

Sell, rent or trade your details. Add anyone you named as a recipient to a mailing list. Share what you describe about your board with anyone outside Boardpath.

The monthly note is a separate, explicit opt-in. Asking for something is never treated as consent to be marketed to.

05

Confidentiality of board matters

Information a prospective client describes about their board is treated as confidential and is not shared outside Boardpath. This restates the promise made on the conversation form and on every engagement page, and it applies whether or not you become a client.

06

How long it is kept

[Retention period to be confirmed.] You can ask for a copy of what Boardpath holds, or for it to be deleted, at any time.

07
